April 23, 2014 WWW Wednesday 1

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, and that you got to read some amazing books. Thanks to a couple of long drives in the car, I got some fantastic reading done. That brings us once again to WWW Wednesday – where we find out:

What am I currently reading?
What have I just finished reading?
What do I think I will read next?

Here are my answers:

Currently ReadingI am again reading two books at the same time – I like to live dangerously like that. One is a paperback – an experience I don’t often have of late.

My historical romance kick from the other week continues. I am currently enthralled by my recently-purchased paperback copy of Anne Gracie’s The Perfect Waltz. There is just something so magical about her writing voice. As I am reading it in paperback, I have to wait until I get home from the GCoD to get back into it 🙁 – sadly, it is a little hard to hide reading an actual book at one’s desk.

The other book I am reading is Ebony McKenna’s The Summer of Shambles. What more could you want from a YA novel – a heroine who runs away TO home, a young man trapped in the body of a ferret and a questionably & wonderfully odd Eastern European land? I am very much enjoying the first of the Ondine novels.

Finished ReadingIn the last week or so, I have been reading a lot – thanks to the Easter four-day weekend and, before that, three days on enforced rest.

I’ve again been clearing the backlog of my ARC pile – I most recently finished Tap Out by Michele Mannon, and before that, I read Plain Jayne by Laura Drewry and Baiting the Boss by Coleen Kwan, among others.

I’ve been lucky lately – there haven’t been too many books that I have struggled to finish. And blessedly, not smallgoods references during scenes of sexy-times!

Once I am finished with my current reads, I am really looking forward to tackling a few rural romances.

The two that I am looking to wrap myself up in are Rocking Horse Hill by Cathryn Hein (which I believe releases today!) and Outback Blaze by Rachael Johns. Other than those two, I am also really keen to read Nicole Flockton’s instalment in Crimson Romance’s Emerald Springs Legacy continuity, Daniel’s Decision.

What are you up to, reading-wise? If you want to, you can leave your answers to the questions as a comment, or if you have a blog, link to your post below.
