I was provided with an advance reader copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. Any and all opinions expressed in this review are mine alone. I received no financial incentives to review this book.

This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years of age due to its use of sexual content, drug and alcohol use, and/or violence. So, if this kind of stuff makes you a little squeamish, this may not be the book for you.

From the dark mind of Rhyll Biest comes a story about a Teutonic god, a guarded recluse, some dirty pictures, and the spark of curiosity that leads to a dangerous attraction.

When the reclusive Holly Unthanks finds some very naughty photos, both the star — a muscular Teutonic god with some serious ink and a knack for knots — and the way he’s tied his lady friend to his four-poster bed, make her more than a little curious.

But to get to know the big, built stonemason better, she’ll have to overcome his vengeful ex and her own inhibitions — and pray that the walls she’s built around her guarded heart and dark secret remain safe from a man who has a way with stone.

When the author of a book dedicates her work to the Germanic growl of a certain singer from an industrial metal band, you just know that the story within is going to be packed full of deliciously filthy promise.

And boy howdy, Rhyll Biest has wedged some seriously hot stuff into every crevice of Unrestrained, her November release from Escape Publishing.

So, what did I think of Unrestrained?

There is much damage surrounding Holly and Stein (our heroine and hero), both with their physical being and their emotional state. What has happened to these two could easily strike down the most hearty of souls.

Holly has some understandably major issues surrounding her ability to trust people. I won’t tell you why, but wow, there be some demons!! Most would be scared off by this, but perfect patience in the shape of a hot German stonemason chips away gently at the distrust and fear.

Stein, Stein, Stein…..what can I say about this tattooed Teutonic one? Outwardly, he presents a forbidding figure, but it is the sweetness and respect that he gives to Holly that puts me solidly in his fan club. It is how he approaches her that is just gorgeous – wanting to pull her out of the dark, but never pushing her further than she can take. How he is so lovely after dealing with that nutcase in his not-too-distant past, I have no idea!

Readers, trust me when I tell you this, your undergarments may very well spontaneously combust. The heat level in Unrestrained is out of control. What kept me so enthralled was the connection between Holly and Stein. There is a plentiful amount of sexytime – and truly incendiary sexytime, at that. However, their connection is not just one that exists solely in the bedroom (or at the kitchen sink – you will never see dish-washing in quite the same way again) – they develop a really great and fun friendship as well.

Brimming with smart, snarky, and witty dialogue, Unrestrained is one sharp and sexy read. So to you, Rhyll, this little ninja grasshopper sends you all the bananafingers of love for allowing me to take a sneak peak at your hot Hun!

My Signature

oooh yeah… for once Ros I actually beat you to this one, and I loved it too. We are ‘snap’ on the dishwashing, and your line about “wedged into every crevice” – I am about to tweet that, great line!
