From Romantic Book of the Year winner Kendall Talbot comes an adrenaline-fuelled new series with sexy characters, exotic locations, and action-packed adventure.

The last place Rosalina expected the clue to a 700-year-old mystery to lead is back into the arms of Archer, the one man who broke her heart. But neither can solve the puzzle without the other, so together they set off on a new adventure, weaving from Tuscany’s underbelly to Archer’s luxurious yacht in the Greek Islands, trying to ignore the sparks that still fly unhindered between them.

Archer desperately wants to salvage the relationship he shattered years before, but fighting for Rosalina’s love soon takes a back seat to fighting for their lives. They aren’t the only one on the trail for the treasure, and their competition isn’t bothered by ethics and morals to achieve their goals. With evil close on their trail, and Archer wrestling with the remnants of a childhood tragedy, Rosalina begins to wonder if perhaps there are some secrets that were never meant to be revealed.

A quick word of warning: Do not read this on an empty stomach. Foodgasms a plenty. Dear Lord, Treasured Secrets will make you want to hop on the next plane to the Med, and eat & relax yourself into blissful oblivion.

Here is what I thought of Treasured Secrets:

I adore the world in which this book is set – I’ve been fortunate enough to spend time in both Greece and Italy on my travels, and getting to love that again through reading Treasured Secrets was awesome.

Rosalina is passionate, deeply caring and genuine in her love for those around her, but her sense of adventure is bold and refreshing, and she is no pushover – even when it comes to the man of her heart. Archer, despite his belief that love only leads to pain and heartbreak, has a great capacity for love and caring – you can see it in how he is with Rosalina and his crew. He has that uniquely Australian charm and air without being cartoonishly so.

You can see how much Rosalina loves and cares for Archer, and how difficult it must have been for her to leave initially. Their connection is undeniable, and what they experience in the course of the story only serves to strengthen that bond.

Something I truly adore about Kendall’s writing are her characters. Vibrant, real and complex, those who inhabit the pages of Treasured Secrets make you want to know more about them, and find out what makes them tick. From the funny and sweet Alessandro to the unbalanced insanity that is Nox, the supporting characters shone through and made the story richer.

There were moments in this book where I sat back and went “Well, I was NOT expecting that!” – those are my favourite kind of surprises.

The pacing of Treasured Secrets is fast, but it fits beautifully with the action-packed and adventurous nature of the tale. From Australia, to the rolling hills of Italy and the glistening islands of Greece, you will be taken on a rollicking hunt for treasure and the truth.

As I understand it, Treasured Secrets is the first in the new series from Kendall Talbot, and I cannot wait to find my way back into this exciting new world.
